Team ALF saddles up for the London to Southend bike ride

Article by Ryan Brown

A TEAM of cyclists representing the Aaron Lewis Foundation completed the annual London to Southend bike ride in aid of the charity this month.

Led by Andrew Bakonyvari, they set out from London’s Victoria Park early on the Sunday morning on a route that took them through Chigwell, Stapleford Abbots and the Hanningfields before heading back towards Southend.

Team ALF finished their ride at The Peterboat pub in Old Leigh in time to enjoy the charity festival, also in aid of the Aaron Lewis Foundation.

Tom Spence, Andy Barnett, Frank Ryan, George Anderson-Brown, Kostas Dellas, Ben Dane, Gareth Steed, David Steed, Randal Whitmore, Jonny Saunders, Jay Syrett and Howard Lee were among the crew joining Andrew on the 50-mile jaunt.

Andrew said: “It was a tiring but enjoyable experience and we are delighted to have exceeded our target and raised more than £600 for the Aaron Lewis Foundation.”

There is still time to donate to the team’s fundraising efforts, which you can do so at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/l2steamalf
